Dr. Nelson N. Nkwor

Dr. Nelson N. Nkwor is a Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy/Banking & Finance, Faculty of Business Administration, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He is at present the Head of the Department of Accountancy/Banking & Finance and a fellow of Centre for Climate Change and Development (CCCD) AE FUNAI.

Nelson received BSc in Insurance & Risk Management from Enugu State University of Science & Technology (ESUT), Enugu; M.Sc and Ph.D in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN). Before joining AE FUNAI, Nelson had over a decade experience in the Nigerian insurance industry, where he rose to managerial position at the Union Assurance Company Limited (a subsidiary of Union Bank Nigeria Plc) from where he joined academics in 2013.

Nelson teaches Insurance, Financial management, Corporate and Entrepreneurial finance. His research interest span through Pension & insurance economics and investment behaviour, Financial economics and development finance to Climate change finance and governance. He has published in leading journals in his area of specialty and also has a number of book chapters to his credit. He has attended many scientific academic conferences as well published in leading journals in his areas of interest. He reviews for ranked finance journals.
