Dr. EKWE B. EKWE has a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering (Energy and Power). He is involved in the theoretical design, modeling and optimization of multigeneration energy systems that are both thermodynamically and environmentally sustainable. His research interest includes deep energetic and exergetic analysis of thermodynamic systems, development and analysis of renewable energy systems, as well as the development and application of various index decomposition analysis techniques for the decoupling of emissions related indicators at sub sectoral levels. He is a member of the Energy, Exergy and Environment Research Group (EEERG) that apply the concept of energy and exergy in the architectural design, analysis and simulation of environmentally friendly energy systems. He is currently involved in the multi-sectoral design, modelling and assimilation of various energy, economic and other related scenarios for the actualization of deep decarbonisation pathways in Nigeria.
